This festival falls on March 21st. Please begin rescuing white animals and not adopting them out until this date has passed. It is just as important to them as Halloween and the black animals. One year, the only three white ducks on our church pond in Flower Mound disappeared on that weekend. Important cult dates are as follows: March 21 April 30 June 22 August 1 Sept 21 Oct 31 Dec 22 Most are solstice dates and not such as big deal as March 21st and October 31st. Guest guest
I'm a pagan too, and no pagan I've heard of sacrifices animals, and if one did, they would not be considered pagans, since we respect life a lot more than that. Meganey - ardee-ann Thursday, February 22, 2001 11:34 AM re: White Animals I have never heard of the sacrificing of white animals as a fertility rite and the date given for this is highly suspect. I am a pagan and the dates listed as " cult " holidays are religious holy days. I would like to know the original source for the posted email. This smacks of Urban Legend is certainly defamation of pagan religions. I don't know ANY practicing pagans who sacrifice animals, and I am very active in the worldwide pagan community.
