I don't want to make it sound like we're ganging up on you, but this is a vegan list and I'm pretty sure that honey and marshmallows aren't on any of our menus. Veganism is one of those things that's all or nothing - either you are or you aren't. And again, I have to agree that perhaps I vegetarian list would better fit your diet in life right now. But I just want to say that you are definitely welcome to stay here whether or not you decide to become fully vegan. I'm sure that all others feel the same way. I'm also sure that none of us want you leave this e-group, especially since this is the only one you decided to stay on before. I just want to add that, I'm sorry to say, if you got hatemail, you shouldn't have been surprised. For example, if you belonged to meat lover's e-group and spoke of vegan principles, you have to expect to get burned. If you join a soccer e-group and rant and rave about how great football is...well, you get my point. Most of the time it's not that the people are naturally unkind, it's that most of the time it seems that the whole world is anti-vegan and this list (for me anyway) is the only place where your vegan views are not only welcomed, but supported. And then to hear someone talk of things that are definitely not vegan...well, it's not exactly welcome or fitting in the group. It's not that we're hating you, it's your views that most people don't particularly like. If you feel that you are hated then perhaps Isabelle was right when she said that you were overly sensitive. I also suggest that maybe you could stay on this e-group *and* join a vegetarian list where you might feel more at home. I'm not really sure what type of vegetarian you are...I'm not really sure what's in marshmallows (I've never really looked, although sugar is probably a major component) and I have no idea how honey would affect your grouping. I hope I didn't come of as condescending, if I did I apologize. I just wanted to offer some friendly advice.
