While I have not kept up on all the debate about 'not-so pleasant

things' I must say that I object to the assumption made below by

consciouseffert. To definitively make the claim that one is not

committed to a cause, vegan or otherwise, simply because of an " angry

reply " or because of a difference in opinions seems to be horribly

closeminded and highly problematic. Not to say that I don't think

Belle's reply was petty as being well as an unnecessary stab at

consciouseffert, but I don't think that making a judgment call about

someone's level of commitment is the right way to deal with this.

Divergence and debate within any movement is something that should be

welcomed and embraced, not looked down upon. I can't help but think

that closemindedness about topics such as these is only going to

force people out..
