Guest guest
I think the objection about soy milk being called Silk, was based on how it sounds as if it is is named after the fabric made from the cocoons of killed silk worms. Silk the fabric is an animal product, so I think the person who raised the objection was thinking along the same lines as if it was a veggie burger named " Meaty " or maybe " Leather " . Being conscious of the cruelty involved in producing the fabric called silk, I thought it was an interesting point on behalf of whoever pointed it out because I hadn't even consciously realized the name Silk has been putting me off buying that soy millk. Deborah apo> It's official--consumers prefer Silk chocolate soymilk to the world apo> famous Hershey's chocolate milk. What a stupid name for vegan chocolate. I don't have any objections so the word silk. For example, if someone tells me my hair feels silky, i'd take it as a compliment.. lol :-) by the way, if the word silk has a bad connotation, how should we call silk worms ( do think they should be called something else)? -Isabelle _______________ ________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
