Our next seminar addresses another aspect of vegetarian living -- spirituality and compassion for animals. The Boston Vegetarian Society invites you to attend " Animal Grace - Entering a Spiritual Relationship with our Fellow Creatures " a FREE Educational Seminar with speaker Mary Lou Randour, PhD Sunday, April 15, 2001 at 4:00 pm (followed by Vegan Social Dinner 5:00 - 7:00 pm) Mary Lou Randour, PhD, is a psychologist, of " Beyond Violence: The Human-Animal Connection " project, and author of the book, Animal Grace. Dr. Randour demonstrates how we can enrich our spiritual lives immeasurably by developing our compassion and awareness of animals. She is coming to Boston from Washington DC to speak for our seminar. As Director of the Beyond Violence project, Dr. Randour address a variety of professional audiences, including police, prosecutors, educators, domestic violence advocates, animal control and humane society officers, and health care professionals. FREE -- ALL WELCOME 5:00 - 7:00 pm - Stay for our Social Dinner and have some good conversation with our friendly group. It is also a reasonable (approximately 10 minutes) walk from South Station on the Red Line (walk along Atlantic Avenue, passing Federal Reserve Bank on your right. At Rowe's Wharf , cross street.) (Another way would be to cross the street, then turn right on High Street, walk to the end of High Street (past MBTA Communications Center), then there's CLVR. State Street on the Orange Line or Blue Line (walk south on State Street, turn right on Broad Street and walk to the very end. Country Life is on your right.) Park Street or Government Center on the Green Line. Park Street on the Red Line or Green Line. Walk down Winter Street to Downtown Crossing, then follow these directions. Winter Street becomes Summer Street at Filene's, at Downtown Crossing. Downtown Crossing on the Orange and Red Lines Walk down Summer Street past the CVS, turn left, pass St. Anthony's RC Church, turn right at corner and walk all the way to Broad Street. Turn right and walk to CLVR at the end of Broad Street, near the ocean and the I-93 freeway. But, if you DRIVE, there's free on-street parking (allow some time, just in case).
