Take a look at the condoning of practices such as slavery and male dominance. Do we continue to practice these acts because it was written in the bible? If you evaluate the nutritional, social and economical issues related to a vegan diet you will see why logically it is the right answer for the right reasons. Can you imagine a God that would say do the wrong things for the wrong reason because I say so? What kind of sense does that make? Clearly, there is a better way. *************************************************** " People of other genders, races and even age groups were once treated as property in this country. Guest guest
I want to be vegetarian because I feel it is healthier. Who took care of the animals before the activists? Did not God tell man to have animals for meat?

Unfortunately, you can use the Bible to support just about any case. For example: Genesis l:29 " Behold I have given you herbyielding seed. To you it shall be for meat. Guest guest
I want to be vegetarian because I feel it is healthier. Me too! :-) Who took care of the animals before the activists? I think that animals suffered much worse and more often before activists. Also, the growth of large commercial business is fairly new, and increased the need for activitists. Did not God tell man to have animals for meat? My understanding from what Christian friends have told me is that God told Noah that man could eat meat after the Flood, when there were no plants alive on the face of the earth. In other words, man-kind was encouraged to eat meat only when it was necessary to survive. Deborah
Guest guest
I had not heard that one! Learn something new every other day!!! I did notice in reading the scriptures that man's time on earth decreased when he began to eat meat. But may I ask: Is it the senseless killing of animals that activist speak against or ALL killing(even for food?). > Did not God tell man to have animals for meat? > > My understanding from what Christian friends have told me is that > God told Noah that man could eat meat after the Flood, when there > were no plants alive on the face of the earth.
