Guest guest Posted April 18, 2001 Report Share Posted April 18, 2001 Euro MPs fight 'cruel' cosmetics Tuesday, 3 April, 2001 Members of the European Parliament have voted to ban the sale of all cosmetics which have been tested on animals. The ban will take at least four years to come into effect, and must first be approved by all EU member governments. http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/newsid_1258000/1258261.stm European MPs say cruelty should not be " exported " The testing of cosmetics on animals is already banned in the UK, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, but products tested in other countries are sold.
