Animals suffer from 'human' treatment

New Delhi, April 22: Tuesday is World Animal Lab Day, when animal lovers the

world over will speak out against the manner in which laboratory tests are

carried out under the most inhumane conditions. This year, they will have

plenty of ammunition handy, thanks to a report, prepared by the Committee

for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiment, on the condition

of animal houses in the country.

 

They will read about old horses being bled to death or blinded, and of sheep

who have holes drilled through their head right to the brain. While still

alive.
