Guest guest
Hi Gwen; I am 46, also female. I've been vegan since 1985, and I ate 100% raw for 2 1/2 years. I'd like to help, if I can. Why do you avoid grains and starchy vegetables? I eat according to the recommendations of Dr. John McDougall www.drmcdougall.com who recommends a low-fat vegan diet based on lots of starchy vegetables like potatoes, grains (I avoid gluten bearing grains), legumes both cooked and sprouted, and lots of fruit and vegetables raw and cooked. Deborah Hello, my name is Gwen and I am new to this group, 45 year old female. I was a vegetarian for about 5 years and returned to my meat eating a few years back, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis two years ago and now have starting eating only plants again, however this time I wan it to be vegan. Quit dairy and all meats and fish last week. I do not eat high carb foods, and have been eating only berries and nuts and seeds along with soy, eager to her from others and what you eat. Really want to make this commitment with all my heart, need some help with food ideas. Prefer to eat things raw. Gwen
