Guest guest
I read the feature article in Newsweek this week about Organic Farming. I buy and eat pretty much exclusively organic food products thinking this is better for me and the environment and that the vegatable sources of nutrition are vegan. According to this article, many/most Organic farms use animal and/or animal manure as a source of fertilizer. This suggests to me that it is impossible to be vegan if vegetables, legumes, fruits, and grains are grown using animal products and bi-products. Any thoughts, refutations regarding this? karen
