Guest guest
B " H Yes, you are right, this has nothing to do with being vegan. There were people in the 30s and 40s who didn't want the US to enter WWII either. They were called isolationists. But if Hitler had won the war in Europe, besides killing all the Jews in Europe (and all the gays and gypsies, too, not to mention handicapped people, etc.) he would have set his sights on the US (that was part of his plan). There are Hitlers out there today. And if we don't defeat them, they will most assuredly come after us. We need to protect ourselves and our children from evil and anti-war marches won't do that when the evil is out there, and evil that has made its agenda crystal clear. Their agenda is to make the entire world live by their rules, rules which include suppression of freedom, abuse and murder of women and death to all who don't convert to their faith. Sorry, but I don't support the current anti-war movement. This is not Vietnam or Korea. Debbie hi, i know this doenst have anything more to do with veganism other than the fact that its non violent, and im vegan and im helping to organize it, but the social justice and action committee of the savannah uu church is organizing the first ever major anti-war demonstration in savannahs history. were holding a smaller coalition building event on <snip> to gear up for the march and rally on <snip>. if anyone in the region would like to find out more please contact me, <snip>, at: <snip>
Guest guest
What is this idiot talking about? " Was this takin out of a Bush speech? I knew brainwashing in America was strong but this is a little excessive. Saddam Hussein can barely keep his own country in order, he may be evil, but he's not dumb enough to think he can take over the world. And compared to most other arab countries, conditions for women are actually pretty good in Iraq. And what faith are you talking about? Iraq is a secular country which is one of the main reason why it is despised so much by Islamic fundamentalists such as Bin Laden. If anything this quote applies to Israel or Saudi Arabia, America's two best pals... Criticism is fine, but do your homework first sweetheart... But you're right about one thing, let's stick with veganism... Kamrinn, Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now
Guest guest
If you haven't seen Bowling for Columbine, make sure you do, it's makes it very clear what this is all about - fear. Almost all the media in the US focuses on promoting fear and terror, take a look at any news cast - look at the words Bush uses. They try to keep everyone afraid of everyone else. I think once a lot of people in the US realize this, the power the media and Bush have will disappear quite quickly. My two cents.. - Dave - " Kamrinn Roy " <kamrinn Friday, November 22, 2002 4:04 AM Re: antiwar march in...... > > What is this idiot talking about? > " We need to protect ourselves and our children from evil and anti-war marches won't do that when the evil is out there, and evil that has made its agenda crystal clear. Guest guest
B " H Ah, I see it now. Anti-semitism raises its ugly head again. Jewish lives are still cheap, as cheap as our lives were before and during World War II. Yes, there is fear. I see a replay of the holocaust already starting in Israel. I see babies (yes, babies) being targeted and murdered and the entire world blaming us yet again. I see people ignoring evil saying, " oh, it's not US they're after -- they only hate Jews... this doesn't affect ME. " I also am not at all thrilled about being compared to a many who has broken down his name to an initial and can't even pronounce THAT correctly. Besides, he's full of rhetoric and won't do ANYTHING. True, Iraq isn't the BIGGEST threat, but I highly doubt the man in Washington who thinks he was elected president will attack Saudi Arabia, the money behind the terror organizations because the Bush family has monetary ties to Saudi Arabia going back 3 generations. You can continue to sit in your little Ivory Tower, continue to blast Jews and Israelis -- nice, say the same things about native Americans, Latinos, African Americans, etc, and the PC police will get on your tail (and rightly so) but say lies and horrible things about Jews -- oh, yeah, that's ok. Don't you know? Jews are evil. Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before. I've had hatred thrust at me all my life. And for no other reason -- actually, I'm not exactly sure WHY it's always open season on Jews. Synagogues all over Europe are being burned to the ground. Jews coming home from services have been beaten, including a young girl in France, some to death, some just to hospital beds. Maybe it's easy for YOU all to ignore this, but I have family and friends in Israel. And I'm Jewish. And Orthodox. And Vegan. Maybe it's wishful thinking, maybe I'm a dreamer, maybe I'm an idealist, but I actually hoped that other vegans might actually care about my people. And me......
