Environment) and Department of Biotechnology,

Government of India is conducting a three week

certificate course on biodiversity and bioresources

for Std. X students (who have appeared for ICSE/CBSE

/PUC Board Exams) from May 12-30, 2003.This exciting

course will contain hands-on learning modules,

interactive talks from experts, films, discussions,

field trips, treks and projects. The course will cover

a range of issues from conservation of endangered

species and organic agriculture to Intellectual

Property Rights. Free participation will be offered to

30 students. Those interested please send us a 1-2

page essay on any interesting topic in the Natural

Sciences, a photocopy of your Std.IX marks card, a

reference letter from your teacher or principal or a

copy of the hall ticket, and a cover letter stating

why you want to take this course, how you propose to

make use of this training program and what do you

expect of this course, along with your contact

address, phone number and email address.
