Blankets Needed for Former Lab Chimps - Please forward widely

 

Blankets are desperately needed for the chimps formerly used in research

at the Coulston Foundation in Alamagordo, New Mexico (USA).

 

Many of you know that these chimpanzees are now under the protection of

the Center for Captive Chimpanzee Care (CCCC) which is working so hard to

rehabilitate these victims and to transform their prison into a more

comfortable environment. For instance, instead of dried " monkey chow " the

chimps are provided with fresh fruit and vegetables three times a day,

soft nesting material (blankets), and lots of toys and other enrichment.

 

NEAVS is starting a blanket drive to help CCCC provide these chimpanzees

with warm nesting blankets. If you have any unwanted blankets in

relatively good condition please send them to NEAVS at the address below.

Unfortunately, we cannot except quilts for the chimps.

blankets:

 

Thanks to everyone's generosity, we have exceeded our

expectations in our

blanket drive for the ex-Coulston chimps. We will not

be able to accept any

more blankets at this time!
