Re: Running of the Bulls is Abuse

 

Ladies and Gentlemen:

 

I understand that a publicity film for the new Cadillac " Escalade "

is about to be produced in Grazalema, Spain, for which a " running of

bulls " is or will be organized.

 

I strongly protest against this cruel use of animals to sell a

product.

 

The torture of animals for purposes of publicity or entertainment is

immoral. Such a commercial will teach the public that cruelty to

animals is acceptable.

 

However, cruelty to animals in name of culture, art, entertainment,

publicity, or monetary gain is NOT acceptable.

 

Many people throughout the world have realized that animal cruelty

has no place in a civilized society.

Bullfights, rodeos, and greyhound racing are nothing more than animal-

abuse activities on public display -- NOT " sporting events. "

 

As a compassionate person, I do not support companies that endorse

any type of animal cruelty. Therefore, if this commercial is filmed

and aired, I will join a world-wide compaign to boycott Cadillac and

General Motors.
