Guest guest
I'm conflicted on this issue.. On one hand, brand devotion to the " little guy " is very helpful for them, keeping them going, etc etc. But at the same time, the big names who are finally starting to offer organic foods... well, thats a good thing also. If everyone were to avoid big brands who bought organic, the big companies would stop making that kind of stuff, leaving it in the " underground " ... dependign on your viewpoint, this is good or bad. It makes it that much harder to fidn that kind of stuff, and if it never catches on to the broad public, it will make organic that much more obscure, raising prices for us buyign from the " little guy " , and eventually, worse case scenario, putting them out of business... on the flipside, if everyone were to start buying big brand, it would put the little guy out of business... not a good thing either.. It's very hard to be vegan in our culture today... but it's slowly catching on. Big brand companies are starting to support the vegetarian/vegan movement. with this will bring about more " converts " which will cause even more products to be made that are vegan/vegetarian friendly. in the holistic view of vegan philosophy, the more people who take a vegan (or even vegetarian) lifestyle, the better the world will become. by leaving vegan food (or organic food) to the small minority, it may never catch on.. all this of course is just rambling... just adding my thoughts... to answer your " question " .. i usually buy a mixture of both local and or small brands and the " big guys " ... the decision based both on what i personally like more, and whats accessable at the moment. ===== Jason Mayes ____ ___ \ /| /\ ____ | \ \___/ / \ \ / | /--\ | \ | | | | | _ \ / | / \ | THE | |___| | \ \ / |___ |___/ |___/ / \ \___/ X When you classify someone, / \ all your doing is limiting yourself and others. Guest guest
I also started tofu at 6 months and would mash and then cut into small cubes. I would mash it with Avocado, banana, sweet pot and also serve plain. Can mash and put in cereal too. He loved it.
