I'm 33, and have been Vegetarian (Vegan about 90% of the time but lacto/ovo occasionally) for just over 8 months now. I live in Greenfield, WI, not such a good place for Vegans due to it being the " Dairy State " . Wisconsinites seem to love putting cheese and other dairy on/in everything. Lacto Vege is relatively easy here though there is only 1 actual Vegetarian restaurant within reasonable driving distance(under 30 minutes away) from me though I live about 2 blocks outside Milwaukee (big city). I (and my husband) became Vegan mainly due to learning about what the animals go through in factory farms. Health concerns were also a big factor to me, especially due to serious family history with cholesterol, diabetes, heart problems, etc. and seeing my own health follow suit as I get older.
