Guest guest
National Demo at National Institute for Medical ResearchOn Friday, 15th August 2003 there will be a National Demo at the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), The Ridgeway, Mill Hill, London NW7. The NIMR is the largest research establishment of the Medical Research Council (MRC). Animals currently used in horrific research at the NIMR include guinea pigs (supplied by the Halls at Newchurch), rats, mice, fruitflies, fish, frogs, birds and chicks. With the forthcoming appointment of Prof. Colin Blakemore - notorious for sewing up kittens' eyes - as chief executive of the Medical Research Council this October, and the development of the primate breeding centre at Porton Down (MRC's fellow government institution), other animals may well be joining the list at the NIMR, unless we show the MRC, NIMR and Blakemore now that the animal rights movement will not let them get away with their sadistic torture of these voiceless animals. The demo will last from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. The nearest underground station is Mill Hill East (Northern Line) and the 240 bus stops right outside NIMR. For further information, please call 07767 471111.
