Guest guest
hey everyone. I'm new to this list and just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 18 yrs old and just finishing highschool. I'm an occasionally crossdrassing lesbian who has been a vegetarian for about 6 years now and went vegan recantly. (almost a month..I'm so proud!!!!) As to your dillemma Stacy, I can relate (not to the being a Mom part, bt to the carnevourus family part) When I was prepubescant (about 11 or 12) I went vegetarian in a carnevourus family. Being a youngin I was addressed with all the " How are you gonna get your protien? " questions more then most because no one figured I had thought it out because I was young. I don't blame them. But anyways, my family dissaproved and was unsympathetic so I quickly learned how to do my own cooking. After a couple of years of this my Mother followed my example and became vegtarian and my Dad now eats less meat and is aware of the damage it does. When cooking for people who eat meat I like to keep 2 things in mind. !) they can choose what they want to eat and everyone has their own personal tastes. and 2) I'm the one cooking. If I were you I'd use leaner meats and slowly incorperate more chicken and fish over pork and beef, while cooking yourself the yummiest of vegan meals and letting them choose. Because people tend to feel better after eating vegan, they will often progress to servingthemselves more veggies and less meat. that's how things have worked for me ~Yen~
