Guest guest
Hi, A couple of warnings regarding the vegan diet. My family and I have been vegan for over a year now. My husband and I just wrote a book, and the research is what convinced us that we should be vegan. We also believe that Raw/Vegan is the ultimate in a healthy diet. We have yet to accomplish our goals in the raw vegan direction, but are well on our way. Regarding your health concerns, there are some serious problems that a vegan could have with their diet. I will outline a couple and perhaps give you some help, and maybe help someone else. * Soy is not a healthy protein alternative as some may have you think. Do some of your own research in this area is you need convincing. There is a condition called " Hypothyroidism " that can be aggravated when consuming soy (like Tofu, tempeh, soy sauce, Mayonnaise, veggie burgers, veggie hot dogs, soy milk etc..) Some of your health problems could be a direct link to your soy intake, or with a thyroid condition. *Most ALL of your meat alternatives contain high amounts of MSG. MSG is an exitotoxin that causes a myriad of problems, both physically and mentally. MSG has many different names and the MSG association is continually looking for new names to hide the fact that they have added MSG. MSG has maintained a misleading GRAS (generally regarded as Safe) status in Canada and the US, which means the corporations can pour as much of this poison into their products as they wish. Just a side note: beware of all non-natural products. Even when you read the ingredients, many can come from an animal source. My family and I were recently sickened because we found out that what we thought was " Vegan " margarine (Fleischman's lactose free non-hydrogenated Margarine) contained beef byproducts that was only listed as " Vitamin D " . Which tells me ....don't trust what you read in a product that is processed. Again, natural is the way. Nothing that man has had his hand meddling with. Good luck and good health Michi Hotjobs: Enter the " Signing Bonus " Sweepstakes
