The State of Utah is turning veganism into a crime for which children can be taken away. Sterling - LifeSaveIn cynthia ; LifeSave Tuesday, January 27, 2004 9:50 AM Re: Vegan children growth study Dear Cynthia Per your letter on CDC vegan child growth study (copied below): I would sincerely appreciate the book and any other documents in that study and anything else supporting our stand on Vegan children's health as quick as possible. We desperately need every Vegetarian / Vegan to speak up and contact all friends and all persons of influence politically -- including those listed on my web page " FamilyVsState.org " -- for reparations for this innocent and violated precious young Vegan family. Also I am in desperate need for support in this battle. I am losing my heat (at <20 degrees) and my other utilities and not able to pay my rent because I have had to use every hour in the last seven months to do diligence and discovery and provide public exposure for the Thaxtons, who after 35 thousand (borrowed and) given to the impotent Lawyers and witnesses, have nothing left to help me help them! So please encourage everyone to consider contributing whatever they can. I need to keep my phone and web pages running even if I and my youngest son do it with freezing water in a freezing house (thankfully my wife is visiting my oldest daughter in Van Couver). " All that is required for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing. " ~Edmund Burke We all must now be those " Good Men -- and Good Women " preventing evil! This family's violation and injustice, if not stopped by us, could become every Vegan's violation! And if not righted, this case sets the stage of threat so no mother will want to feed her family a Vegan diet for fear of losing her children in light of this precedence. We must overturn and rectify this case now! Thank you. FYI, it's " Growth of Vegetarian Children: The Farm Study " Joan M. O'Connell, MHS, et. al. Pediatrics, Vol 84, No 3, Sept 1989 I'd be glad to send you a copy of this study if you're unable to reference it with the information above. This study concluded that vegan children fed a well-planned diet show no significant difference in growth rates at an early age than nonvegan children. If the CDC cannot be believed, who can be?
