In S. Korea, thousands of dogs are still brutally caged and butchered each year

for the dog meat-trade. These dogs are often tortured to death as some South

Koreans believe that hanging a dog or beating it to death releases adrenalin,

which softens the dog`s meat. Doftened dog meat is considered a sexual

aphrodisiac. Tourists who have stumbled onto the back streets where the dog meat

markets are call them " hell on earth. "

Everywhere, dogs are crammed into wire cages, lying one on top of the other.

Dead dogs lie next to live ones. One woman eyewitness saw a dog with his legs

stuffed into his mouth.

Please help to provide worldwide pressure on the South Korean government to make

sure that all cats and dogs are classified by law as companion animals and none

allowed to be butchered and consumed. Write a letter to President Roh Moo-hyun,
