Guest guest
Dear KitryKitten,

I love lost causes.

You and I are similar, in that, although I am not a cook, I found eating fruit to be startlingly easy.

However for vegetables I use a blender, called a VitaMix, which prepares, very easily, delicious raw vegetable dishes.

I think it is very easy to get used to being sick and also when you are sick you are no threat or challenge to others.

I seem to have enough variety as I also eat nuts, seeds, sprouts and very small amounts of fish.

I would also recommend for women, very small amounts of lean, red meat. An expensive, small cut, grilled rare. It's almost raw but not quite.

Should you accept this mission, you will find changes taking place inside yourself. You will never again have to worry about your weight. You will glow with health. You will want to go dancing, walking, running. You will enjoy other people. You will be calmer and have a beautiful smile.

We all have a hidden ability to adapt. However the first part of adaption is to attempt to maintain the status quo, but if your mind has decided on raw food, your body will do all that is necessary to adapt to raw food.

Adaption is a learning process, so take your time; there is no such thing as immediate success. We all need time to learn. Learning means trying and failing. Everytime you try and fail, you learn something new.

Victor.

Postscript: I am not a raw fooder because of religious belief, or because I want to save the animals, but because raw food confers striking, good health.
I am told, though, it can inhibit your sense of humour, but I don't believe that! Guest guest
Hi there everyone!!! This club seems really cool. My name is JC and I am really into animal rights and I am a vegetarian. I think that to live a peaceful happy life we must love people and animals with all our hearts. We need to respect animals as part of the earth. Leonardo da Vinci once said: " The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men. " I think that this is a great philosophy. If society as a whole would advocate compassion to animals, they would be more compassionate to everyone, and this would be a better place. Some things about me: I am into spirituality, business, exercise and art… and at the center of everything I do I found compassion to animals to be a part of it. I found that being a vegetarian helped my exercise and fitness and health because we were not meant to consume meat. It has fat, cholesterol, and other poisons. Why would people do this to themselves? My spirituality was impacted because I believe that at the center of all spirituality is the idea that we should live our life to do good, and what is better then standing up for kindness and love? When people let their lives have a disconnect between eating meat and killing animals, it is a sad state. I heard that only 1% of the United States population is vegetarian, and this phenomenon of out of site out of mind is horrible. People just don't want to know the problem; they just don't find the topic to be palatable. They shouldn't. But they should take it seriously, and not brush it under the table. One day I just decided that these goals were not getting accomplished, and I could not live with myself if I didn't try to help. I wanted to be part of the solution not the problem. I decided that the other areas of my life like business and art should be based on this compassion. I am going to put some links below that I would love you to check out. This is cool sites that goes into animal rights and are great animal advocates. I hope to work for them someday! Guest guest
Hi there, JC... I too, admire Peta and as a matter of fact, I’m proud to say that I’m one of their activists. Peta helped me markedly with my inquiries and in keeping me updated with current alerts. They are great people! Another good organization I admire is the NAVS (National Anti Vivisection Society) http://www.navs.org/index.cfm I started being a vegetarian three years ago and it was when I heard about the terrible conditions the animals in factory farms endure. I didn’t resist their pain and suffering and I instantly gave up meat, unlike many people I talk to do. They don’t like to admit that these animals go through so much pain and suffering because this is way too much for their conscience to handle. They try to fight it off by arguing that this how nature intended for things to be, and another argument I hear a lot is that God created those animals for us to eat. Since I love animals so much, vegetarianism wasn’t enough to reduce their sufferings. I threw away all my household and cosmetic products that are tested on animals and replaced them with cruelty free products. This site helped me a lot. http://www.caringconsumer.com/ Also, you can use: http://www.navs.org/testing/whois.cfm?SectionID=Testing Just put the name Procter and Gamble and just what you get! Also becareful where you shop because some companies, example the Bombay company, gives an anual contribution to St. Jude hospital (a charity that conducts animal testings). I also don’t eat animal products or purchase products that contain animal ingredients, because that’s a great contribution to slaughterhouses. To familiarize yourself with animal ingredients and their alternatives, please visit: http://www.caringconsumer.com/ingredientsfactsheet.html Also, wearing leather and fur also contributes greatly to animal sufferings. Please visit: http://www.cowsarecool.com/ and http://www.furisdead.com/ I also have many links, but don't want to overwhelm you but will be glad to provide them if you're interested. Last but not least, staying active is what greatly helps animals. Right letters and e-mails, to be added to Peta’s alert e-mails, please contact Peta. I’m still new to Veganizm and Animal Right Activism, however I have read a lot about it and I’ll be glad to help answering any questions or concerns. Peta is really good at answering any inquiries you might have. Thank you for the links, I will eagerly check them out. I will end my email with one more great site which is: http://www.mercyforanimals.org/issues.asp Sincerely, Suha Sleibi vegan_animalrights <vegan_animalrights wrote: Hi there everyone!!! Guest guest
Correction the field in http://www.navs.org/testing/whois.cfm?SectionID=Testing is not taking procter and gamble. Try typing Procter & Gamble instead. Procter & Gamble vegan_animalrights <vegan_animalrights wrote: Hi there everyone!!! This club seems really cool.
