Do you want to help save animals lives?

Being a vegan and an animal lover I have always wanted to help animals more

directly than just with my diet/lifestyle and donating money. I finally found a

way and it feels so rewarding to be contributing in some way! The following

message is a post from another I belong to that will serve as an

example of my new discovery. This is just one post among so many being posted

daily in several groups.

I wasn't aware that cats and dogs could be saved from DEATH ROW at county animal

shelters across the US by arranging " transports " done by volunteers (I figured

they could only be saved by a local person coming in and adopting them).

Coordinators of the transports break the trips into " legs " and each person who

volunteers drives a leg to get these animals to rescues, foster, or adoptive

homes in different locations, sometimes several states away. Sometimes legs can

be as short as a half hour or forty five minutes and it means so much to these

rescued cats and dogs to get another chance to go to a more loving and

comfortable environment where they will never be killed.

I encourage any animal lovers and compassionate people who want to make a

difference for these animals to please help if you are able and willing to do

so. Check out the many dedicated to helping arrange these

transports needing willing drivers to get these animals to safety. Here are just

a few I belong to:

TRNS 29 CAN BE SAVED from DEATH ROW I81 VA, MD, PA, NJ 10/23

IF YOU CAN'T HELP TRANSPORT THEN PLEASE CROSSPOST THIS TO ANYONE YOU

KNOW THAT MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP - or any groups you might belong to.

We pulled 29 baby kittens this weekend that were slated to die. We

have one cat that was badly injured (see picture below). It looks

like a dog bit out a major chunk of her neck. I have her at the vet

and they are caring for her. I found a wonderful woman here (that

has a family of all super special needs animals) that will take care

of her. This baby would have died had we not stepped in. Now with

your help this little girl can have a wonderful life! We MUST get

her to safety!

There will only be TWO kitties from TN to MD. The rest of the

kitties get on board in MD. These are all babies and take up very

little room. I was able to find great homes for all of them. I have

people coming from VT, NH and MA to save these babies. I will

rescue them, but I DESPERATELY need your help to get them to

safety. From MD to NY we will need big vehicles per leg or maybe 2

regular size cars.

PLEASE help us in this mission at a second chance for life. These

babies haven't even had an opportunity to begin their lives (at 6-9

weeks old) and are about to be put to sleep.

They will NOT have a chance at life without your help.

YOU can change their fate!

We could really use YOUR help.

PLEASE DON'T THINK SOMEONE ELSE WILL DO IT.

Contact the coordinator Barbra directly off the list

Adoptapet @ optonline.net <remove space before and after @>

As always, your help will be so greatly appreciated.

All kittens are UTD on shots, traveling with health records and have

tested negative for FeLV/FIV.

All carriers will be supplied.

The kittens will be coming from temporary foster care and going to

rescue and onto their approved forever homes. The rescue group is

Please let me know what leg(s) you could drive.
