Guest guest
I know I did! OK! I have to admit, I tried many brands of Vegan cheese (Mozzarella, American...etc.) and I wasn't too impressed. The only brand that I really liked was Tofutti cream cheese. After a while, I got sick and tired of eating cream cheese. It wasn't fun anymore! While I was shopping, and by accident, I found Tofutti American cheese and Mozzarella cheese... and to really make my day, I also found Tofutti Sour Cream (called sour supreme). I knew then I was in for a wild Mexican night. For three days in a row, I was eating nothing but tacos and burritos. and for two days in a row now, I've been eating Casadillas. And boy, am I in heaven!! This is really easy to make. Put two slices of Mozzarella cheese in a flour tortilla, fold and place in the oven. I also smuggled handful of chips toped with American cheese. Heat until cheese melts and tortilla becomes crispy. (you can also put some tomatoes, avocados, mushroom, chilles, as well). The cheese on the Natchos melts really quick. You will have sour cream and you can also make guacamole... it's really easy. Smash Avocado with a fork, add a diced tomatoes (i put one quarter of small tomato) and diced onions (diced them really small and also put just a little bit), dash of cut cilantro, dash of salt and garlic powder. If you want to make salsa, it's really easy as well. (diced ripe tomatoes, onions, lime, cilantro, salt, jalapeno, and I put a dash of vinegar). Tacos are really easy as well... although I wasn't too impressed with the taste, but I ended up gulping up the whole thing. If you know a way to make tacos, I will really appreciate if you share them with me. But I mixed a firm tofu with taco spices and stirred on the stove. (beware, most of taco spices have animal products in them, if I remember correctly, It has whey). I ordered mine from a vegan website. So anyway, I put the mixture in taco shells, I added lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, taco sauce, and of course sour cream and guacamole. That really, really, REALLY took care of my cravings that I had for months!! I also saw egg watchers in their website. Not sure if it's for baking or to make omelets. I sent an e-mail to them, but i haven't had a response yet. I haven't found any in any store I've been to, either. I will keep you updated if I do, though. But this brand is really worth trying if you haven't yet. It is so close to the real thing. http://www.tofutti.com/ Take care all, Suha http://www.stopanimaltests.com/ " The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them.
