Guest guest Posted April 8, 2005 Report Share Posted April 8, 2005 hi The People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals,Sanjeevani,Animal Rights Fund staged a silent protest on Thursday at the Mahatma Gandhi statue on M.G. Road (Bangalore, Karnataka, India)against the death of the circus animals in Mumbai last Monday. The protestors were dressed in black and mourning. As many as 21 animals - four sea lions, 10 dogs and seven cats - were burned to death as the event management company that had brought the circus from Russia had abandoned the animals. They were imprisoned in three rooms which caught fire. Only three dogs survived, though they suffered severe burns and are undergoing treatment. The news papers which have carried the demo are: 1.
