The Meatrix is up for another very prestigious award - this time it's the

Webby Awards! The Webby Awards are called the Online Oscars and are " the "

award for web sites.

 

The Meatrix is nominated in the Nonprofit category and is also up for their

" People's Voice Award " . http://pv.webbyawards.com/register.html This

people's choice - or voice - award is voted on by the public. Even though

The Meatrix won its category in Austin at South by Southwest last month, we

didn't win the people’s choice award (due to a dog owner web site that

squeaked us out of the honor).

 

Let's change that with the Webby Awards! Please follow these simple

instructions to cast your online vote for The Meatrix - each email address

is permitted one vote. And as we mentioned with South by Southwest,

getting an award is wonderful, but the main reason we're doing this is for

the potential exposure. The Webby Awards are extremely influential in the

web/technology world, and winning an award out of the thousands of sites

that have entered would give us and the factory farm/sustainable food issue

an amazing amount of exposure.

 

So, please, vote today!

 

1. Go to http://pv.webbyawards.com/

2. Click on the " Register to Vote " button on the left side.

3. Fill out the form (make sure to type in the characters that appear at

the bottom of the screen) and click submit.

4. A password will be sent to the email address you registered with.

5. Return to http://pv.webbyawards.com/ and enter in your email address

and the password that was sent to your email. Click " go " .

6. Scroll down to the " Society " section (it's at the bottom of the page)

and click on the second category - " Charitable Organizations/Non-profit " .

7. Click on the little circle on the right next to The Meatrix.

8. Type in the characters that appear at the bottom of the screen and

click on " Cast your vote now " .

 

You know you've done it properly when a page comes up to show you how

voting is going. (You need to make sure you enter in those characters at

the bottom of the screen!)

 

You can also post anonymous (or signed) comments about The Meatrix - simply

click on The Meatrix on the left side of the screen and post your comment.

The more positive things we say about the film, the more votes we might get!
