Guest guest
I very much agree that Aishwarya Rai should have been a close contender to the list of 'Worst Dressed' celebrities, considering the fact that she was crowned Miss World. Miss World are not only beauties but also with brains. I am attaching a mail which I had sent condemning the act of wearing a fur stole by Ms Aishwarya, to which I got a reply from the Miss World Organisers. Azam --- Dear Azam Thank you for your email. We had no knowledge of Aishwariya wearing fur. Aishwariya is very conscious of animal welfare. If she was wearing fur it would have been fake fur. We all feel the same way about animals, we love them very much. Thank you for your interest. Kind regards MWO - " azam siddiqui " <azamsiddiqui <mwo Wednesday, October 06, 2004 6:27 AM Furore on Fur Name: azam siddiqui E-mail azamsiddiqui Data Protection: Unchecked Feedback: Kind Attention : All at the Miss World Organisation Dear All, I am writing this email to codemn the recent act of a former Miss World, Miss Aishwariya rai of India, who was seen sporting a stole made of FUR at the London Palladium for the world premiere of her movie, Bride and Prejudice on October 5th 2004. It maybe noted that Ms Rai is a popular celebrity in India who came into limelight after bagging the Miss World Crown and ever since has been involved in a lot of charitable activities be it eye donations, caring for the girl child etc. But one wonders that someone who has been so committed to charitable causes is deriving a sadistic pleasure in finding animals in excruciating pain? What else could be the reson that made her wear FUR? The Animal Welfare Board of India as well as The People for Animals, India`s leading animal rights group has condemned this act, and therefore we also ask the Miss World organisation to demand an apology from Miss Aishwariya Rai. We hope your esteemed organisation will take this matter seriously and prevent others from doing the same. Miss World is a reputed organisation which is respected the world over which brings out not only beauties but also talents. Thanking you, Yours sincerely, Azam Siddiqui, Master Trainer in Animal Welfare (Animal Welfare Board of India) Government of India. -- aapn , atanu dey <atanu_dey1> wrote: > > In the PETA's list of worst-dressed celibrities, India's Aishwarya Rai must have a close following for her obsession for fur and dressing in fur for the world premeir of her Film Bride and Prejudice in London last year. > Atanu Dey > Lynn Collea-Price <lhasaluvr@m...> wrote: > " voicesforRahkim " <voicesforRahkim > > " Lynn Collea-Price " <lhasaluvr@m...> > Fri, 16 Dec 2005 02:05:00 -0500 > [ALF Animal Liberation Front] PETA Names Paris Hilton Worst-Dressed > > http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=209987 & GT1=7458 > > > ?
