Total No. of Animals Helped by PAWS in year 2005-06 - 1047

 

 

## Total 300 Peacock Feathers seized from illegal seller in Nalasopara &

handed them over to Borivali National Park.

 

## During year following volunteers taken regular medicines from PAWS &

treated stray animals. Usha Kolambkar, Sunish Subramaniyan, Ramesh Iyer,

Vijay Raut, Sonali Bagde, Sudhakar Chincholkar & Harsha Mahajan.

 

## During the financial year PAWS attended following legal / police cases

/ complaints.

 

1. PAWS wrote a complaint letter to Kalyan Range Forest Office & seized

several parakeets that were released by forest dept later.

2. PAWS made 3 written complaints subsequently to Ramnagar Police Station

against ill treatment of Cows in shiv-temple Cow Shelter. Now only 4 cows

are kept in said shelter, rest all shifted.

3. PAWS filed FIR against illegal slaughterhouse of Pigs in Kalwa Police

Station and the owner was arrested & 2 piglets were rescued.

4. PAWS made a police panchnama to rescue an owned bullock in kalyan,

which was later, sent to BombaySPCA.

5. PAWS volunteer Ms. Alka Kulkarni made a complaint against her society

in Municipal Corporation then PAWS sent a notice cum warning letter to her

society to allow her to keep cats in her house. PAWS intervened the matter

& followed up timely. Now all cats are sterilized

HELP US HELP THE NEEDY!

 

We at PAWS are committed to help our four legged , furred, feathered

and scaled friends but for this we are totally dependent on financial help

from donors and generous well wishers. Helping distressed people is indeed a

service to Humanity but serving dumb and helpless creatures is service to

GOD.

While there are several others who destroy them , we at PAWS conserve ,

ehabilitate and serve animals as best as funds permit . We need money to

run our ambulance, pay salaries and buy food and medicine. We therefore

appeal to you to kindly help us help the needy.
