BOYCOTT FUR - BOYCOTT CRUELTY FUR VIDEOS http://www.petatv.com/skins.html http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=fur_farm Cats and Dogs tortured and killed for fur: http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=jcruel_china_dog_UK TAKE ACTION: http://ga0.org/campaign/ChinaPetition/ Dear Animal Friend, Late last month as the president of China, Hu Jintao, met with President Bush at the White House, members of In Defense of Animals (IDA) gathered outside. The reason for the gathering was to screen video evidence revealing dogs and cats being skinned alive in China and call on the leader to introduce and enforce meaningful welfare standards regulating the treatment of animals within the fur industry. Those of us who care about animals are horrified to learn that more than half of the world's fur products are imported from China, where there are no animal welfare regulations and animals suffer the worst kinds of abuses. Among the rabbits, coyotes, foxes and other animals, millions of cats and dogs are brutally murdered for their fur. Many of them still wear collars and ID tags, an indication that they were stolen from loving guardians to be turned into fur trim and trinkets. Today, I urge you to take action to help more animals from suffering this tragic fate. Please sign a petition to urge the Chinese government to pass National Animal Welfare Laws to protectl 'man's best friends' and other fur bearing animals. Help Stop the Suffering Three powerful ways you can help right now. You can choose one or do all three. Thanks to the internet it is easier than ever to make a difference. Spread the word! Even just one friend or family member could shift the balance. Make a generous tax deductible donation of $25, $50, $100 or more. Dog and cat fur exported to the U.S. is often deliberately mislabeled as being from another species, so many consumers who purchase it are wearing the fur of a dog or cat without knowing it. Please take a few moments of your time today to help these innocent victims of the fur trade. 1.. Take action. Please sign a petition to urge the Chinese government to pass a national animal welfare law, urgently introduce and enforce legislation prohibiting the skinning of live animals, urgently introduce and enforce legislation prohibiting inhumane treatment and slaughter methods and introduce and enforce legislation prohibiting the inhumane confinement of animals. Even if you have signed before, please take a moment to sign again. 2.. Spread the word. Click here to tell friends and family how they can prevent dogs, cats and other animals from becoming fashion victims in China. 3.. Donate to IDA's campaign to end the bloody Chinese fur trade. Your generous tax deductible donation of $25, $50, $100 or more is so very important to bringing us closer to ending these cruelties. Click here to make a donation today. Please act now so that we may carry forward our fight on behalf of our animal friends. With your help, we can make a difference. Thank you for all that you do for animals. Sincerely, Elliot M.
