We're not to far off from the world of the Jetsons......my bet is we are far

more advanced technologically than we think. A steady stream of revising

and updating products allows them soak up all the business, then in 6 months

or a year when the product you purchased is obselete or not compatible, (not

to mention the " I can't be seen with this old thing " ) it's time to scrap the

oldie and buy the newbie.

This comment reminds me of a great quote from Albert Einstein, which I have

on a bumper sticker on my car...

" It has become appallingly clear that our technology has surpassed our

humanity. "

And think about it - Einstein died in the 50s, right? And he felt this way

even then...when technology was in its infantile stage compared with now.

I am so truly sick of technological advances. Yes, I like my computer and my

cell phone and all that...but so much of the " inventions " or " advancements "

they hawk now are just useless and silly. I do not need to be able to send

people pictures over the cell phone! I do not need to be able to view only

one specific scene on a DVD! (I don't even need DVD...I'm still doing just

fine with my good ol's VHS, except for all the damn room they take up.)

How about some innovations that actually friggin' matter towards the

betterment and security of the planet and her children? Ah, but that's no

fun to market!

Sorry - feeling spiky right now... Bring it on! Heh heh...
