I've been reading a bit of Kant lately with regard to religious toleration - for someone from the 18thh century, he was a good few centuries ahead of his time... it's just a shame so few people seem to have paid any attention to him! Guest guest
I love these quotes. I was just reading an e-mail this morning about HLS and the testing they do on animals, and it talked about how sadistic the technicians are. That seems to be common among those whose job it is to harm or kill animals. I suppose that is to be expected. They must have to close off those channels through which compassion flows in order to just do their jobs. peace, sharongreenteaop <greenteaop wrote: Vegan and Vegetarian Quoteshttp://scotthughes.biz/vegan_quotes.html"Whatever my own practice may be, I have no doubt that it is a part of the destiny of the human race, in its gradual improvement, to leave off eating animals, as surely as the savage tribes have left off eating each other when they came in contact with the more civilized." -Henry David Thoreau"He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men.
