Guest guest
Hi Gary; The topic of this elist is VEGAN lifestyle, which means avoiding ALL animal products, so recommending dairy products (butter and unhomogenized cow's milk) is out in left field in this ball park. Maybe you would have a look at the points on the following website which address the nature of cow's milk, even unhomogenized. You may find that there are more reasons to avoid cow's milk than just the type of processing with which it has been treated! http://www.food-health-fitness-vacations-spas.com/mcdougall-articles-apr03-dairy\ ..html Happy New Year everyone! Deborah http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53425 Add soybean oil, tofu, and other soy products to your list of food poisons to avoid. Other food poisons to avoid are hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup, mono sodium glutamate, and aspartame. MSG and aspartame are sometimes mislabeled, disguised, or secretly unlabeled with FDA approval. Never forget the US Government's version of the Golden Rule - He who has the gold makes the rules! Butter and unhomogenized cow's milk seem to be OK. Since homogenized milk is the only type of cow's milk that is available, I drink rice milk which I buy at Trader Joe's. Guest guest
Far as I can tell (and the VAST majority of nutrition scientists would agree) this anti-soy propaganda is pure bunk. All food has some good and bad points but the good for soy FAR outweighs any of this hyperbolic ranting. I think these folks are consuming another male bovine animal product that is best used for fertilizing healthful soybean plants. later...............Dennis , <renaerokicki wrote: > > I was shocked upon reading this article! Guest guest
Sorry for responding so late to this thread. Anyway, it's not as simple as Jim Rutz claims in his article. I'd recommend that everyone read this article before deciding whether soy is truly to be avoided, as Jim Rutz claims in the article linked to by the earlier poster. http://www.rwood.com/Articles/Soy_Toxin_or_Tonic.htm By the way, Jim Rutz writes for WorldNetDaily, which I have NOT generally found to be a credible source of information (that's actually quite an understatement). I'd be very interested if anyone could let me know whether Jim Rutz or others at WorldNetDaily have any links to the meat industry. It seems odd to me that he would suddenly start criticising tofu for no reason. Gerry renaerokicki wrote: >I was shocked upon reading this article!
