Guest guest
World Turtle Day, May 23rd, was initiated in the year 2000 by the American Tortoise Rescue. Learn how you can help turtles, and make this World Turtle Day an active and conservation friendly one! Your help is very much needed as turtles are living in very dangerous times. Today around 70% of the world's turtle species are listed as threatened or endangered! Even worse then this, several species have already been driven to extinction, literally wiped off the face of the Earth! This is both a disheartening and totally inadmissible fact because the turtle's current state of peril has been caused by the detrimental actions of people. Turtles are not likely to survive without the assistance of caring individuals!
