ACRES FEATURED ON FX TV SHOW 30 DAYS " Animal Acres Associates " & lt;ecology1st2004 & gt; Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 2:41 PM Don’t miss a reality show special this week on animal rights, featuring Animal Acres! The documentary series “30 Days”, directed by Academy Award Nominee Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me), explores life changing experiences. Avid hunter George Snedeker spends 30 days with a vegan family, and several of those days were spent at Animal Acres where George learned about factory farming, and spent time with our farmed animal friends. During several days of filming at our sanctuary, George butted heads with Animal Acres President Lorri Bauston, but he bonded with a calf rescued from a veal farm by Animal Acres cruelty investigators! In the end, Lorri and George found common ground, thanks in large part to the calf, whom George nicknamed “Sugar”. Knowing our animal ambassadors are the best teachers, Lorri encouraged George to take an active role in Sugar’s rehabilitation and care, and Sugar worked his magic. Sugar (aka Pinto) is alive and well, and living happily ever after at Animal Acres, where he continues to teach people that farmed animals have feelings, too. The show contains footage of an Animal Acres investigation at a calf factory farm, as well as other animal rights scenes and issues – be sure to tell your friends and family to tune in for this episode. The show, entitled “Animal Rights” airs June 17th on the FX network.
