Guest guest
Hi everyone, My copy of Raw In Ten came in the mail today! I was so surprised! I had company here at the time, so I haven't been able to look at it yet. I hope to have time to sit down and look through it tonight or tomorrow. Guest guest
I lost interest when he said he would not post any recipes on his website in advance, for people to try before they buy. If I can't flip through the book first (as in a bookstore), I want to at least be able to try a recipe or two before I shell out $$. If anyone has tried any of the recipes I would be interested in hearing some opinions. swing --- Froggy <seconaphim wrote: > > Beware the overly optimistic and those who press > their wares too > much, aka Bryan Au. > > rawfood , " Philip McCoy " > <plm2280> wrote: > > > > > > I've lost interest in Raw in Ten. Guest guest
I ordered a copy on the 28th of Dec. and got it last Sat. I read the introduction, which was decent, he follows a lot of Gabriel Cousins' recommendations, whom I respect. I have not tried any recipes but will do a couple this weekend for a potluck. My first impression is that the book is true to its title, with quick recipes to add variety to a raw diet, thus serving a niche in my raw recipe book collection, ymmv. After I make some recipes, and take Raw In Ten to the potluck to bounce some of the other recipes off of more accomplished chefs, I'll post a review. Guest guest
Wow, so the book actually exists! Still looking forward to mine. I'm so off the raw " wagon, " and eager to gat back on again. I consciously accepted an offer to teach cooking classes, using a specific curriculum (cancerproject.org). Actually glad I did it. I introduced a little bit more raw stuff than the curriculum originally called for. I enjoyed it, enjoyed the food, enjoyed the students. But I'm back to needing a shot in the arm on raw food prep. Between this book that never arrived, and one from Hallelujah Acres that promises shopping lists combined with a daily menu, I'm very much looking forward to them!
