Guest guest
Hi, Seeing as these groups are really quiet, let's get some action going on them again. Tell us what made you interested in becoming vegetarians or vegans? I have been interested in it since 1989 when I became a fan of Morrissey, who is one of Britain's most famous vegetarians. I read his book " Morrissey: In His Own Words " where he talked about it in one section and started getting active with it. Although my practice of it has been rather patchy at best, I understand the logic behind it - the economical connotations, the environmental connotations, and the religious/spiritual connotations. I realise that people get into it for a variety of reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is that they cannot abide cruelty and abuse of animals. I am looking to start it again because I've been having gastric troubles, and a friend of mine emailed me today and said that at the age of 38 I ought to start relying on eating more fruits, pulses, and vegetables because my body can't handle heavy foods. So I'm going to take her advice. I've also got several vegetarian cookbooks in my collection like " Back To Eden " by Jethro Kloss, " The Higher Taste " by the Bhaktividanta Book Trust, " The Spiritual Diet " by Gabriel Cousens, " Your Heart: Your Planet " by Dr. Harvey Diamond, and " Good And Healthy " by Colin Spencer and would like to share some of the recipes from them on these groups, plus encourage other members to do the same. Best wishes, Dario Western 'If you think this message is rubbish, please save the environment and do not print it out and store it for keepsakes' http://profiles./gymnoboy_01 ---------- Checked by AVG - www.avg.com Version: 8.5.425 / Virus Database: 270.14.58/2493 - Release 11/09/09 19:40:
