Guest guest
HI all, yesterday, I was stumpted as to what to make, well I went to my food staples and came up with a great great dinner. you could use fresh ingrediants just use more than for example instead of 3 tablespoons dry use a cup fresh (I'm guessing my portions so please make it to taste I call it " nutritional pesto " 3 tablespoons of dried parsley leaf 3 tablespoons of dried basil leaf 1 teaspoon of dried garlic granules 1/2 cup of slivered almonds 1/2 cup of nutritional yeast 1 cup olive oil (I used extra virgin and flax oil and safflower oil, because I ran out of olive oil) 1/2 bag of chopped spinach (previously frozen) blend in the blender until thick creamy and mostly smooth I put this on spiral noodles and threw some pine nuts and the " nutritional yum yum " (parmeson substitute made from blenderized blanched almonds and nutrtional yeast) it was so tasty and excellent!!! since I am avoiding tomatoes I will use this as a pizza sauce, too! later, happy eating luv kim aka mamatazz ps-I'm storing the left over pesto in the freezer in a covered Ice tray (since each serving is about a tablespoon)
