Although everyone's reasons are certainly valuable and I side with all of them, my reasons were initially purely selfish.

I couldn't control my weight.

My blood sugar had a mind of its own.

Constipation.

Headaches.

Depression.

Anxiety.

Mood swings.

Now that I'm vegan, my weight is dropping, my blood sugar is under control, constipation is no longer a factor, I haven't had a headache in weeks, I'm not depressed or anxious, and no more mood swings.
