Guest guest
Hi, Christine!! If you're looking to supplement protein, try using Braggs Liquid Aminos. It tastes like soysauce and you can sprinkle it on salads, or stirfry with it. I even use it with tofu, even though tofu has a bit of protein already. That website you mentioned sounds great. I've tried another website called realage.com that I found useful. It gives all kinds of info on your diet and compares your actual age to the age your body is currently at. It also gives options to lower your " realage " through diet. exercise, etc. It's pretty fun. Nicole PS: I would have posted what I ate, but I spent the last week on vacation on NYC and blew my diet straight to hell!! You'd be amazed how hard it is to find healthy vegan cuisine in NYC on a budget. And most regular grocers don't carry a lot of stuff. I'm from Atlanta, where even in the middle of nowhere, you have a variety of organic produce and many brands of vegan foods. >>I had my first vegan day yesterday after a long time of eating lots of red meat. I was afraid that I wasn't getting enough protein, calcium or iron so I entered all of my food for the day at www.dietwatch.com and it calculated everything for me......>> __________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com. Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the list. I have toyed around with eating vegetarian off and on for a couple of years, but this time I want to stay with it. Today for breakfast I had peanut butter toast and for lunch I tried something different I wanted to tell you all about because it was so good. I had cooked rice I put in a pan sprayed with pam, about 1 cup or rice and added 1/2 cup tomatoes and green chiles,1/4 cup onion,1/4 cup water chestnuts, 1/4 cup corn, and several big shakes of hot sauce. I fried it until it was crunchy and I ate all of it! I know it sounds really weird but I liked it. I also like Boca burgers and veggie chilli. Something else that's good is refried vegetarian beans on a toasted bagel with lettuce and tomato sometimes with soy cheese. I like simple and weird things I guess. I'm glad this is such a busy list : ) I hope to get to know everyone! Sherri
