Guest guest
i'm sorry if this is breaking any list rules, but i think it's important enough to break a few rules. originally sent around 3am eastern time, july 19....if anybody can help, *please* do so. peace, love, & unity...angela <<If anybody is close enough to help, please contact the names/numbers listed. call Lisa(shelter manager) at 608-356-2520, or call me ( Melissa Jackson) melmouse at home tonight 920-485-6729 Please cross post. Thanks! Jude I have a special plea to make. There is a senior Lhasa (age guess 10+ yrs) at a kill shelter near me in Central WI. He really needs someone -- fast. I want to help, but my home is too active for him. I have 4 dogs, 3 cats (one due any moment that I took on today as a foster from my vet), and as of tomorrow, 2 rats until they can get " home " ...... add one 3.5 yr old human child, and it is not the quiet home that this little guy needs. Here's a little blurb on him. I spoke with the shelter manager a couple hours ago, and she and I are down to the wire on this one. No one will look at him due to his rough condition... This little boy is going to be PTS within 48 hrs. He came from the house where the man was nailing the kids hands to stuff to make them mind..... (I read about it on a news website).... Mom and kids took off, left this little guy behind. Landlord tied him to the shelter door in that bad thunderstorm a few weeks back. He was in protective custody for a while so they could sort the situation out... he has been up for adoption for 10 days.... no lookers. He has cataracts, needs a grooming, needs dental very badly. Despite his horrendous past, he is sweet, loving, and loves attention. He does not see well, but can see some out of the one eye. His hearing appears to be good. He will most likely lose most if not all of his teeth. I can takc pics in the morning, but by the time I develop and post them, we will be in his final hours. The groomer tried to clip him, but could not do it.... she was in tears. He is trimmed down, but needs a good clipping. Shelter did not say if he was neutered or not. PLEASE, if anyone knows of someone who can help him, email me, call Lisa (shelter manager) at 608-356-2520, or call me at home tonight 920-485-6729. I am heading there (70 miles each way) for the rats and another dog in the morning, and can pick him up if need be then. Guest guest
I just joined the group, and have been reading the messages in chronological order... Being both a Buddhist and a dog-lover, I have to ask you if there is any more to this poor being's story. Did he find a decent home to finish the remainder of his years, or was he put to sleep? These situations always break my heart, and I've always wanted a Lhasa. If I had been a listmember three years ago maybe I would have been able to help you. Sincerely, Jessica , earthchyld@w... wrote: > i'm sorry if this is breaking any list rules, but i think it's > important enough to break a few rules. originally sent around 3am > eastern time, july 19....if anybody can help, *please* do so. > > peace, love, & unity...angela > > <<If anybody is close enough to help, please contact the names/numbers > listed. call Lisa(shelter manager) at 608-356-2520, or call me ( > Melissa Jackson) > melmouse@i... at home tonight 920-485-6729 > Please cross post.
