Guest guest
Hello, my name is Jill and I have recently decided to give up animal products completely, for ethical and health reasons (I had been consuming animal products sparingly for awhile before making the switch). And, I'm having a little cookie crisis... I tried to make some vegan chocolate chip cookies today, using fruitsource. Well, they didn't turn out so well--they didn't turn out at all. The problem was that my 4 year-old was helping me and was absolutely heartbroken when they didn't materialize. I felt really bad, so bad that I took some butter from my husband's stash in the fridge (he supports my decision, but " isn't there yet " as he describes himself) and made a new batch. I did at least use soy flour instead of eggs and they turned out well. The moral to this story: does anyone out there have a vegan recipe for chocolate chip cookies (or some other kind that kids love) that is tried and true and will work? I'd really appreciate it!!! Thank you, and I hope I haven't offended anyone with my less-than- perfect disclosure. At least I'm getting right out there with the less-than-perfect me.
