Guest guest
A dry sweetener, is exactly that. A sweetener used that is not liquid. However, since many vegans avoid using granulated white sugar (the bleaching process involves the use of animal bones), there are others that can be substituted. I, for one, use succanat (sp?) You can get it in the health food store in the bulk section, and just get as much as you need. It's a medium brown, and is granulated, just like sugar, and you can use it in the same ratin 1:1. So, if a recipe calls for 1 cup sugar, just substitute 1 cup succanat. If you have any difficulties finding it, ask someone at the health food store, and they'll take you to it. Good Luck!
