wafers and hamburgers

hi

I am looking for a real vegan wafer recipe and a recipe of homemade vegan

" hamburgers " . Has anyone an idea.

The veggie- or tofu- " burgers " I can buy in Germany aren't really satisfying

- to smashy and crumbly - if you get the idea what I mean.

BTW: what do you use instead of whipped cream?

love

Hello Ute. You can get some recipes for meat-free burgers at vegsource.com. If

you search under the world " burger " , you will get all kinds of recipes. My

personal favorite is Aduki Bean Burgers. Also, we have in the US a vegetarian

whipped cream (no gelatin), but it is still made from dairy. I don't know of

any vegan " whipped cream " , which actually seems like a contradiction to me.

Sorry.

I believe "hip whip" is vegan....but double check. I think it is made by "Now & Zen". It's not easy to find, but check the bigger health food stores. They may especially carry it around Thanksgiving time.

I use silken tofu in place of anything that requires sour or whipped

creme. If you go to any of the major vegan recipe sites, and put

in " whippe creme " you should hit on a recipe. Let me know if you

need one.
