I know several people that went to the school directors and had other

alternatives set up for them to learn that section of the class and did not

do the disection....

Has to be well presented...the alternatives have to be complete,

informative, well done and well stated. But it can be gotten out of with

some work...though it may be a bit late for you >:)

I know exactly what you mean! Right now we are disecting rats and i try not

to participate as much as i can without failing. Even if I didn't do it the

rat would still be disected by my lab partner, he would just have to do it

himself. I still feel really bad doing it though. I complain the entire

class and the teacher just keeps ripping on me or warning me of failing.

argh!

It all matters. To me, being a vegan is an extension of a Respect Life

ethic. The only Party that comes (very) close to embracing such an ethic

is, in my opinion, the Green Party. While they are pro-choice, they make it

clear in their platform that they believe abortion should not be determined

by economic, social, or political factors. They want to reform adoption

policies to improve that choice as well. And, essentially, the implications

of their entire platform would really eliminate the need for the vast

majority of abortions altogether.

As far as presidential candidates to vote for, does it matter to you if a

person thinks that it is okay to kill an unborn baby? Or is it just eating

meat that is a determinant?

Feel free to vent all you want Susan. I'm sorry to hear that you are strugling so much at the moment. I think counselling is definitely a good idea. I've been there myself and found that counselling worked much better than any drug. I managed to work through my issues and they haven't bothered me since. And also feel free to talk about food related issues such as these here. This isn't just a group for recipe sharing. Issues like these are very important and are definitely worth discussing."I hated the antidepressants because I lost mental acuity. But I'm thinking being a bit fuzzy might be better than eating myself to death."

I'm taking anti depressants at the moment because i am being treated for chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). One of the symptoms of CFS is fuzzyness/foggyness so i know just what you mean. I haven't been on the tablets long enough yet to know if they're gonna make it better or worse.

Anyway. I guess i just wanted to say i'm thinking of you.

How's you back feeling?

Its not too bad now. Thanks for asking. I'm still seeing a physio and i'm going for compensation because i lost wages etc when i couldn't work. But generally its ok. I also found out one of my legs is slightly longer than the other and one side of my pelvis is raised when it shouldn't be. Things i have always had which make me a bit susceptioble to back problems anyway i expect.

Anyway, thanks for your kindness!
