Hey all! I have discovered Falafel! I need your help. I had it at a

restaurant recently with a cucumber sauce....also on the back of my

packaged mix it suggests serving it with " sour cream cucumber yogurt

dressing " . Too bad they didn't include the recipe!! So, can anyone help

me? I am so hoping! I am guessing that the restaurant made it with

tofu....but any cucumber sauce recipes would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Yeah, I love falafel and I too would like a non dairy receipe for the

cucumber sauce, and what kind of falafel is the best? I have only used Near

East and thought it was pretty good.....

Thanks,

You are looking for Tatziki which is a cucumber and sour cream sauce and

that is pretty much what it is. Moosewood has one made with Tahini but I

like the tatziki better. Just make it with tofu sour cream and shredded

cucumbers. There is garlic in it I think and a few other goodies but it is

cooling. Falafel is one of my favorites. The instant one is good also if you

get the chance to make the one in the original Moosewood Cookbook it is

awesome but pan fried.

I think you should be able to find tons of falafel recipes on the internet.
