Guest guest
Jill, I hear you about the meal planning. I grew up in a town where the main industry was beef! It is considered sacreligious to have a meal without it. I still enjoy the taste of meat, but I try to limit my intake to 3 or 4 meals per week (for sure no more than once a day). I'm just on my lunch break now and eating a great vegan meal. I use soy " meat " as a replacement for beef or poultry for most of our meals. We also eat amino-acid-balanced pasta, with the exception of white spaghettini (I haven't found a tasty enough replacement for that one). The kids love it and I know they are getting all the nourishment they need. Do you know who Ed Foreman is? I heard him speak once, and he said that salt and sugar are the 2 worst junk food offenders on our table. It is good to cut them out of our diet as much as possible. I am not familiar with TVP. What is that? This weekend I will try to post a couple of our favorite recipes.
