any good soy cream cheeses?

i got some "cream cheese," made from soy, and it was so gross i spit it in the garbage. it was made by galaxy foods, veggie cream cheese. and it top it off it had casein, which comes from cow's milk. does anybody know a brand that actually tastes good?

There is a vegan (l believe--no casein or whey) cream cheese called "better than cream cheese" that tastes EXACTLY like the cow kind. The only downside--and the reason why we only eat it on occasion--is that it has hydrogenated oils in it. But, for the occasional treat, it's delicious. And, so is "better than sour cream".

I totally agree. I have used this product to make vegan

cheesecake.....scrumptious!

Tofutti's " Better Than Cream Cheese " is just that. Looks, tastes, and has the

same texture as the real thing. In a variety of flavors, too, though the only

ones I can find around here are French Onion and Plain.
