Guest guest
Hi, I have been having trouble findng agar agar in any local grocery stores and was wondering if I have to venture to a health store, or if it is just placed somewhere where I haven't looked. If anyone can tell me where they find theirs that would be great. Thanks, Jessi ----Original Message Follows---- Digest Number 193 16 Jan 2001 08:25:49 -0000 There is 1 message in this issue. My goal for the group is to meet several times a year, if not monthly, for dinners, potlucks, recipe sharing, etc.. It may take some time to get the group going so please be patient. I hope everyone in the area will join. We could end up with a great group! THE RECIPE Brie Cheese This is a pretty good recipe for vegan cheese. It slices too! Place the mixture immediately into a blender with remaining ingredients (except wheat germ) and process until completely smooth. Guest guest
Hello, My name is Becky and I was invited to join this group by a fellow patchouli lover I have never met. I was very interested to read this first digest I recieved today....not much vegetarian talk, but interesting, none the less. I also got the impression that nost of you who posted are in the US. Is this right? I am in Brisbane, Oz. I am the mother of a beautiful 3 1/2 year old veggie kid named Ruby. We live with her Dad, Dave, who is a musician and eats anything. I have been veg for almost 10 years. I am determined to bring Ruby up with a respect and love for all our fellow beings and Mother Earth. I work as a conservationist and love to grow veggies, eat, read, sing, dance and play. That'll do for now. I look forward to getting to know you all. Brightest Blessings, Becky
Guest guest
Hello; I am from Hamilton, Ontario. There aren't that many places here either ,who cater to vegetarians. The grocery store that I go to, never use to carry vegetarian meatless meats etc..... But, now, they have finally begun to carry all sorts vegetarian foods, like yves products, and the veggie cheeses and other items. Guess my speaking up did help some in that respect. Everytime I go to the store, I keep asking for certain products , and not long after I ask for it, the next time I go there, the product is there. As for restaurants, I have found one place where they are vegetarian friendly, and they also have take out as well as delivery , ever since I found out about them, I have been eating their food whenever I wish to have something away from home , for a change. As for London, Ontario. I've been wanting to go check out London, I prefer a quieter city . I tend to find that Hamilton is too much life in the fast lane for me. Hope everyone's day is going well.
