Guest guest
Hi Michelle, I haven't tried this recipe yet. I was ready to try it out thursday and ended up in the hospital for the birth of my first grandchild! The basic recipe I found follows, I was planing on changing some of the ingredients. I am going to try nondairy creamer, a little baking powder added to the flour and orange juice in place of the water. I am not sure if nondairy creamer is vegan but my son drinks milk( he's the vegetarian in the house). Vegan French Toast Bread 1/2 cup soy milk 3 tablespoons flour 2 teaspoons sweetener 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 cup water Mix everything, except bread, in a bowl making sure there is no lumps. Coat both sides of the bread. Fry on a nonstick pan or a pan with melted soy margarine. Top with syrup or fruit. If you try it let me know how it turns out. Guest guest
Hi everyone I just came up with a vegan french toast recipe and think it is pretty good, here goes: 2 eggs substitutes (I use Ener-G egg replacer) 1/4 cup vanilla soymilk teaspoon cinnamon bread of your choice Mix the egg stuff, soymilk and cinnamon together and cover the bread. Put on a greased griddle and flip when crispy. I usually cover with maple syrup or powdered sugar. Special breads, like fruity or raisin or something is good too. laura _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
