Nutritional Breakfast Drink

After going over the vegan food guide pyramid, I decided to add blackstrap

molasses, wheatgerm and flax oil to my diet. I went to the health food store

and got all these ingredients. Then, I came home, tasted them, and thought,

yuk!

Plus, eating them took some time because they really went down bad.

I wanted a fast way to take everything at once and this is what I came up

with:

Christi's Nutritional Breakfast Drink

Take about 1 1/2 to 2 cups soymilk and pour into tall glass. Add 1

Tablespoon Blackstrap Molasses, 2 Tablespoons Wheat Germ, and 1 teaspoon

flax oil. You can also add fruit, but this is quite tasy on its own.

I have a small hand held mixer (called a Quick Touch Turbo Frother), that is

meant for doing salad dressings, whipped cream, etc. I use this mixer, so I

don't have to fool with cleaning out the blender. Get one of these if you

don't want to use your blender for small jobs. Cleanup is a breeze, seconds!

Just blend this all together. You may have to use a spoon to get all the

wheat germ from the bottom. But, if you leave it at the bottom of the glass

and eat it with a spoon when you finish the liquid, it is really good, kinda

sweet, and nice.

Enjoy!

hi,CW! I used to make a similar concoction, myself. I used

" raw " (untoasted, organically grown) wheat geerm, and also added a large

tablespoon of lecithin granules. I didn't care for the flavor, but I knew

how good it was for me, and even noticed a difference in my hair and skin

after awhile. Plus, it seemed to give me more sustained energy throughout

the day. :) I think I will try it again, despite the taste. I bet I could

use a banana,or a little flavoring to help it along :) Thanks for the idea!

:)
